Brian Dixon, founder of SDG Studio Architects, was introduced to the construction world early on through stories shared by his grandfather, father, and uncle. His grandfather, John Dixon, began his career as a brick mason in Chicago before founding Dixon Builders.

His mother, Maureen, fostered Brian's love for the arts and attention to detail. Excelling in both the arts and mathematics, he was encouraged by his grandfather to pursue architecture after spending a summer building a log home with family.

To finance his education, Brian worked construction in the summers and night shifts at restaurants during the school year. He earned his M.Arch from Judson College in 2015, a small, accredited Baptist institution near Chicago.

After graduation, he relocated to Utah, where he spent nine years working with an architectural firm, contributing to projects ranging from interior remodels and additions to new construction.

Today, Brian continues his family’s legacy in homebuilding, specializing in custom home design, while also nurturing his artistic pursuits through photography, sketching, and writing. He resides in Ogden, Utah, with his beautiful bride, Deisy.
